Comedy-Fund-Raising group Comedians for a Cause
In addition to Philly’s unique and diverse comedy scene, there’s a comedy group that really shows that jokes can affect more than just your mood (I realize how cheesy the past few words sounded, but fuck it).
I was happy to find out about a comedy group called Comedians for a Cause, a Philadelphia-based comedy promotion group that books comedy shows strictly for fundraising.
If you or someone you know is in need of funds for a cause such as community improvement, disease research, or simply just helping someone in need, Comedians for a Cause is the group to book.
Here’s how it works: Once you contact them and inform them on your situation, Comedians for a Cause will throw a comedy show for you and your cause. All of the proceeds made from ticket sales will be donated to your cause of choice. Sound to good to be true? It’s not. It’s simply a group of generous, talented comedians willing to help those in need. More details of you fund-raising event will be discussed upon contact.
